Hair Accessory Haul
Hey guys! What's up? My sleepless nights are getting better now. My babe is sleeping through the night. I'm getting a decent amount of sleep, so thankfully the zombie phase is over :D
#MomsterUpdate
I recently did a bit of an accessory haul. A mix of street shopping and an Accessorise haul (more of that in the next post :)).
I'd been eyeing cuff hair ties for quite some time. I suddenly chanced upon this in a street shop for Rs.25/- I spotted the studded bow right beside it and couldn't help picking it too :) Isn't it adorable?!?
I finally found a roller pin. These are extremely useful to hold up buns.
The flat elastic hair ties are from Accessorize. Got them at 50% Sale!

Do you think you'll ever grow up? I don't and hope not :D

StudioWest Haul
I was dying to get my hands on some Studio West makeup. For those who don’t know yet, it’s been a few months that Westside launched their makeup line. They also have a bath and body range which was launched a year back.
I
have used their body butters and body washes before and I quite liked them. So,
I was pretty excited about their makeup line. They have 2 range - Pure Passion
(Nudes/Everyday wear) and Maaya (glitter/shimmer).
The
face products were at 15% off. Also with 2 face products, I got a makeup
remover free.
My
buy –Rs.468/-
Basically
a lightweight foundation. Sadly they only have 4 shades. My shade is 01.
The
4 shades only cater to the medium ranged skin tones.
However
I really like the packaging. A tube form with a pump!
Flawless
Finish Compact {Price –Rs.495/-}
My
buy –Rs.420/-
I
got it in the shade 02, to get a more natural finish.
The
powder is super milled. Feels quite buttery and soft. I'm really
looking forward to using this.
Pure Passion Makeup Remover {Price- Rs.245/-}
I got this free with the foundation and compact.
Irresistible
Lipstick in Hint of Brick {Price
-Rs.295/-}
Long
Lasting Lipstick in Honey Glaze {Price- Rs.495/-}
The
finish of this range is semi-matte.
Cashmere
Chubby Lipstick {Price – Rs.495/-}
These
are glossy in finish. Lip balmy texture.
Reviews
and swatches on the lipsticks coming up soon...
Eye
Liner in Expresso Delight {Price
–Rs.295/-}
It
is extremely smooth and creamy. Does not tug at the eye. The color payoff in
just one swipe is amazing. It is quite long lasting. Really excited about this
one.
Vivid
Nail Colour in Cotton Candy {Price
– Rs.145/-}
It’s
a pastel powder pink color. The color is very similar to Maybelline’s color
show nail paint in constant candy. Let's hope it turns well on the nails and
not as clumpy as color show one. Reasonably priced for the quantity.
Radiance
Aloe Vera & Green Apple Body Spray {Price - Rs.195/-; 150ml }
Has
a fresh fruity Green Apple fragrance. I usually don't like fruity scents but
somehow this does not smell artificial but very fresh.
Ibiza
Power Pour Femme {Price
- Rs.995; 100ml }
The
first notes are very fruity. A berry bubblegum-y scent. Settles into a warm
vanilla note (which i like). This is not my usual preference for scents. I
usually like more musky and oriental. And stay away from floral or fruity. But
I'm a sucker for vanilla notes. So thought of giving it a try. Plus I loved the
bottle. It is so bright and pretty!
Something I want to stress on... Cheers to Indian brands bringing in good quality #SupportIndianMake

Online Haul December'15
Hey guys! It's been ages since I last posted. A baby does that to you. Oh yeah, I had a baby last month on the 4th of Nov'15. And it's been a task..I wont lie. But at the end of the day, it's definitely all worth it. So December being my bday month, with holidays round the corner and not to forget SALEs everywhere, it's difficult not to binge in a little. Although I had promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more makeup for the next 4 mnths (atleast; coz you see I'm of 'em hoarders who buys everything but wears none :|), however birthday haul to banta hai!
So, here goes...
1) Iphone 5S pink glitter waterfall cover - Can we just please take a moment here. How pretty is that?!? I needed that in my life. And no, I don't think I'm old enough for glitter. No girl ever is!
it even looks rose-goldish in certain lighting. #Obsessed !!
The quality is good enough does not look or feel flimsy.
Bought this from amazon HERE. Also available in ebay and flipkart.
Price - Rs.350/-
2) Makeup Revolution London Palette in RUN BOY RUN - I needed a nude palette which had matte shades and specifically a pigmented matte black shadow. Narrowed on this. First impression, it feels quite soft and smooth. Like the feel of it. Bought this from NYKAA.
MRP - Rs. 1350 After discount - Rs.1013/-
3) Loreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara - Have heard rave reviews about this one. So thought of trying it since it was on sale. I have only ever used Maybelline mascaras as yet. So pretty excited for this one and hoping it'll work for me. Bought this from NYKAA along with the Revolution palette.
MRP - Rs.795/- After discount - Rs.636/-
4) Beauty Heaven Lip Bombs - See those cute EOS lip balm look alikes? I did too on Shopclues. So ofcourse I had to buy them to check them out. Found 3 variants. Bought them all.
MRP - Rs.85/-
5) Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream (shade 05 & 07) - Been hearing about these since ages and I could not find them anywhere online. Being pregnant and all I couldn't even scrounge through the city in search of these. I finally found them on shopclues. Bought them a tad bit pricier than it actually is. But frankly I didn't mind shelling out that extra since they're still cheaper than NYX ones which "also" I cant find anywhere!! If you know where to find either Miss claire/NYX soft matte lip cream in Kolkata, plzzz do lemme know in the comments below.
Price - Rs.399/
In mumbai you can get it for Rs.150/- Can't you mumbai girls courier it to us here?!? Spread the love guys!
That's all for now folks. Which ones have you tried out of these?
Serendipitously Urs,
SS

Mini Haul
I’m a little late for this post. However I’ve been trying to keep my
shopaholic gene under check for a while now. Hence I indulged in a mini haul albeit
only essentials.
1) Dove conditioner: I’ve used this 4-5 times as yet. And I’m loving it! It makes my hair feel smooth and soft. Does not weigh down my hair. Washes off easily. Smells amazing! Out of all the budget conditioners I’ve used, namely- sunsilk, tresemme, loreal 5oils ( these are the ones which worked for me), I find this the best.
2) Marks & Spencer Cocoa butter
exfoliating body scrub: Smells good. The fragrance lasts for about 10 mins
after shower. The scent isn’t too overpowering. It says cocoa butter but
it does not smell anything like it. It’s more of a cologne-ish scent. This one’s
quite artificial but subtle and rich. I like!
3) Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel liner: A re-buy. This is an updated version which claims to be more
smooth, long staying. Smoother it sure is. The 'Stay' seems similar to the
previous version. I like the cute glass container with the square base. The
brush is the same.
4) Maybelline
colorshow in ChocoSin- Got this free with the Gel liner. An offer @Nykaa. Me,
personally would’ve never gone for this shade. But anything free is always
welcome right? Thankfully didn’t receive a shade that I already owned. So shall
try this soon. Let’s see how it turns out. If not, I know mom’s gonna like it:)
5) Maybelline
Hypersharp Liner: A rebuy. My HG Liner. I tried the Maybelline Colossal Liner. Despite the hype, it
did NOT work for me. At all. (READ ON to know why). So I
had to re-buy this liner. Love Love LOVE this.
6) Selfie Stick: OK so this might’ve
been an unnecessary buy. But I think it’ll be very useful when on trips. The
remote only works with Android so I’ll have to check it on my man’s phone.
Guys please check beforehand if the remote’s compatible with your phone,
while buying one.
Do let me know if you
want a review in particular.

The Body Shop Haul
This is the first time I went all out and treated myself to a TBS Haul. I have used the Vitamin E Day cream before. In spite of the raves, it did not impress me too much. I found it was too oily for me during daytime. I used it up during winters as a night cream. I have combinational skin type (face)…most of the time. During winters it is quite dry. To make things worse, I have super sensitive skin. I get rashes due to anything and everything. I want my day time moisturizer to be gentle with minimum chemicals and do it’s work i.e. moisturize without making me an oily mess. (Not really an ‘au natural product’ person; anything that does not irritate my skin shall do. )

I searched online and came across some good reviews about the The Body Shop’s ‘Aloe’ range. It sounded interesting and I was in a mood to splurge! ;)
These are what I bought:
1)
Aloe
Soothing Day Cream for Sensitive skin (50ml ; MRP: Rs.995/- ; After Discount: Rs.746/- ; 25%OFF)
2) Aloe Calming Toner for Sensitive
Skin ( 200ml ; MRP: Rs.795/- ; After Discount: Rs.596/- ; 25%OFF)
3) Vitamin E Eye Cream (15ml ; MRP: Rs.995/- After Discount: Rs.746/- ; 25%OFF)
4) Vanilla Bliss Lip Balm [Holiday Edition] (6gm ; MRP: Rs.400/- After Discount: Rs.200/- ; 50%OFF)
5) Blueberry Body Butter [Special Edition] (200ml ; MRP: Rs.1195/- ; After Discount: Rs.598/- ; 50%OFF)
6) Rainforest Balance Conditioner
(250ml ; MRP: Rs.795/- ; After Discount: Rs.398/- ; 50%OFF)
I
wanted to get the combo Facewash-toner-cream all from the Aloe range. But
didn’t find any amiable reviews on the face wash so skipped that.

| The Body Shop - Aloe Soothing Day Cream |
It’s been
almost a month since I’ve been using the toner, day cream and the eye cream
religiously. So far so good. My skin is noticeably behaving better. Won’t claim
using this has stopped the acne or my rashes but it’s MUCH better. I can see
the difference in my skin. More healthy. More moisturized.
After I’ve
cleansed my face with my face wash, after drying I then apply the Aloe Calming Toner
with a cotton pad. It takes some time to judge the amount to be applied. Too
much makes the face a bit oily. 3-4 drops work good for me (It’ll last
forever!!). I let it dry a while…like for a min. Then apply the Aloe Soothing
Day Cream. Again little goes a long way. It feels oily right after applying, but after a
min or so it soaks in giving a healthy look.

During
Day time I usually wait a min to let the cream soak in, then apply my BB cream.
During
nights, I use the Aloe day cream (maybe a few dots more) and then the Vitamin E
eye cream. Dot the eye cream around my eye sockets and massage it gently with my
finger.

| The Body Shop - Vitamin E Eye Cream |
Frankly
haven’t figured out whether the eye cream is working wonders or not. I have always had terrible under eye dark
circles and eye bags. But a month back I
discovered a few fine lines along my eyes, which freaked me out. So I splurged
at this best selling eye cream.

My dark
circles are better. But that could be because my sleeping hours have become
more regular and more importantly routine. I’ll probably write an updated post
on the eye cream after better usage.

| The Body Shop - Vanilla Bliss Lip Balm |
I bought
the Vanilla Bliss Lip balm completely on a whim. And ‘thank the whims’ that I did!

| The Body Shop - Vanilla Bliss Lip Balm |
While checking
this out in the shop, I swatched it on my wrist to check the scent (The sample
had lipstick marks on it from previous use I presume. Ladies pls try the
samples on something less private… coz it’s just gross for the next person!!). I
quite liked it and the packaging was too adorable plus it was on flat 50% discount . So ofcourse I grabbed it! Half an hour later, while sipping on my hot
chocolate, I suddenly realized the shimmers on my wrist and a slight vanilla
scent still lingering. Ohh the joy!! My lip balm smells of vanilla and has
shimmers in it!!
![]() |
| With Flash |
The initial scent is a little artificial toffee-ish but it settles in well. It’s quite moisturizing without being sticky and it keeps my lips moisturized a good 3-4 hrs. Even after that it does not leave my lips dry.
Coming to the shimmers, no it’s not very noticeable or chunky on the lips. It’s just transparent balm with fine shimmers which slightly reflects light a tad bit making the lips look shiny and healthy and Oh-so-Pretty!

Me saving
the Blueberry Body Butter for Winter. Smells AH-MAH-ZING. Very fruity, true blueberry scent. Am just a 'sane' breath away from licking it!!
Need to buy the Rainforest Balance Shampoo first, to go with the conditioner. Shall post on these later once used.
*Did you go crazy on The Body Shop Sale too? What are your favs?*
