Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme | Loved & SweetHeart

I have a problem. I need to get myself clinically treated for being a crazy shopaholic. I cannot afford to spend any more on lipsticks that I really don't need.

But a momentary lapse is all I need to go crazy and buy everything on my wishlist that I'd been resisting myself for months. And I'm not kidding when I say crazy. 
Lets see- 4 Mac lipsticks, 2 colorbar, 2 Milani, 3 Sugar Cosmetics, 2 Essence And these are just the lippies that I bought. I need help!!

Anyhoo taking advantage of my momentary lapse of control and ignoring the fact that I'm literally broke at the start of holiday season.. lets talk about Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme!

These are the first and only products I own from Milani. I've heard about these since forever though. I remember international blogger/ youtubers talk about these few years back. Especially about their foundation and blushes. 

I somehow fixed on these 2 shades I knew I'd wear. 

 I love the packaging! it looks so sleek and good quality. I especially love the wand. It hugs the lips beautifully and the application is very easy with this one. Just one dip is enough for an entire lip application.

Loved:  A beautiful nude with just the right mix of brown and pink undertones. These are the best kinds of nude for Indian skintone.

Sweetheart: A bright poppy barbie pink. Is more brighter in person than in the pic. Has slight neon undertones. Difficult to carry if you're not into super bright pigmented statement lips.


The texture is light and very pigmented from the first application. the above swatches you see is just 1 layer. Smells of cupcakes! It's not one of the most comfortable texture to wear honestly.

Transfer proof and lasts for more than 6 hours provided you avoid super oily food. 
Like most of the ultra matte liquid lipsticks, reapplying is a pain. It's better to remove the whole thing and then re-aplly or else it'll crumble and be patchy.

I've never been a fan of ultra matte liquid lipsticks because of their drying nature since I already have dying lips. So for me this is a pass but if you are still looking for liquid lipstick which is super pigmented and will stay forever and don't mind it being a little dry... go for it.

The pigmentation definitely impressed me. Also it does not emphasize the cracks on lips tooo much. please don't judge by my lipswatch since my lips are extremely dry and chapped.

The colour is a very neutral peachy shade with earthy undertones. Hence it suits the Indian skin to the T. 

I love these kinda shades. It brighten ups the face without being too loud.

It glides smoothly on the lips without tugging. The finish is demi-matte and keeps the lips feeling well moisturized even after hours of fading away.

What I love about this one is it camouflages dry and chapped lips beautifully. My lips were genuinely crazy chapped while taking these pics but I feel my lips still look quite decent here…

  

It lasts for about 4 hours on me with light meals. It does transfer little. However fades away evenly. I hate when lipsticks fade away from the middle leaving a border :| This one doesn't do that.

StudioWest Irresistible Lipstick in Hint of Brick

 Irresistible Lipstick in Hint of Brick  {Price -Rs.295/-}

StudioWest has come up with some really nice cosmetics range. They have two range – Pure Passion and Maaya. However the lipsticks are from the Pure Passion range. They’ve brought out 3 kinds – Irresistible Lipstick (Creamy), LongLasting Lipstick (Demi-matte) and Chubby Sticks (Balmy).

The Irresistible Lipsticks are cheaper than the remaining 2 types and come in a range of colours from nude browns, pinks to reds.

These have a creamy finish and go real smooth and opaque in one application itself. Very comfortable to wear. Does not bleed.

The stay is decent enough. It stays on me for 3 hours then fades evenly leaving the lips moisturized. I call it decent because all creamy lipsticks last on me for 3-4 hours max. (Frankly they cannot last longer unless it’s matte or stain)

It does not settle on my fine lines or exaggerate my chapped lips. It rather makes them look moisturized and healthy.

To be honest, these are not exceptionally different from the other good quality, moisturizing lipsticks in town. But I maybe biased ‘coz again it’s a good quality Indian made lipsticks that are reasonable priced. And StudioWest sure did well with these.

Rimmel Lipsticks - Lasting Finish Range

Hi there! Being a crazy obsessive Lipstick hoarder I wish I’d got my hands on the Rimmel lippies waaay back in college. I got introduced to the Rimmel brand way too late. Availabilty was ofcourse an issue. Anyone who loves to glam up and are on a budget…or not..need these in their life.

I’ll be talking about the Rimmel Lipsticks in my vanity, 2 of which are from Rimmel Lasting Finish range and 3 are from the Kate Moss Collection.

Rimmel Lipstick - Lasting Finish Range

   1. Independent (060) - Lasting Finish range         

A muted mauvy shade with frosty finish. 

There are no obvious shimmers in it. But the frostiness is quite prominent.

  The texture is creamy and does not tug at my lips at all. The colour shows in the first swipe itself. A few more applications are required for a perfect opaque finish.

This lippie alone stays on me for 3-4 hours with minimal eating. Not transfer proof though.

  I’m not a fan of frost finish lippies. Then why buy this you ask? I like to apply this on the centre of my lips over bright pink colours to give it a dimension and mute it a little. The frost catches the light beautifully.

  2.        Undressed (240) - Lasting Finish range 

A brownish perfect nude. It almost gives that foundation nude look. The texture is very creamy (Creamier than Independent).  But it does not feather out. It does not dry out my lips. However after a while, it can settle in fine lines. The colour fades off evenly. This lippie alone stays on me for 3-4 hours without lip liner. Not transfer proof.

However this shade, by itself, washes me out. I wear a pink nude-ish lip liner first and then apply this over it.

 3.    Lasting Finish by Kate Moss – 16 

A light Barbie pink shade. The texture is again very creamy, similar to Undressed. The texture being so creamy and the shade being so light, this lippie applies a little streaky. But it does not feather out and stays on me for 3-4 hours, with minimal eating. Not transfer proof. Even after a few hours the lips feel moisturized. This does settle in fine lines after a while. But that may be exaggerated due to my ultra drylips :/

4.  Lasting Finish by Kate Moss – 20

Oooh this shade!! *dreamy eyes*  This is my favourite shade ever! Possibly my favorite from my entire vanity. A true fuchsia. Just the right ratio of pink and purple, with cool undertones.

The colour payoff is just amazing. 1 swipe is all you need. 2 swipes and it’s flawlessly opaque. Not streaky. Does not feather out. Creamy enough. Stays on me for 4 hours (with minimal eating). Does not dry the lips.

Not transfer proof though.

5. Lasting Finish by Kate Moss – 107

A deep red, bordering on maroon…just a shade or two short. The colour is soo pretty. It’s a red which’ll look good on every skintone. I haven’t seen this shade anywhere here in India sadly. Rather haven't seen any of the Rimmel Lipsticks with red packaging. But I NEEDED this particular shade for my wedding so my cousin (Bless the darling) got me this from Canada. And thank god he found it.

The texture of this particular shade is not as creamy as the previous ones I mentioned. Rather it sets in a powdery matte finish. But it does not tug while applying. Does not feather. But it transfers. It stays on my lips for 4-5 hours, with minimal eating.

If you can get your hands on this one… GRAB IT!!

HOT : LOVE these!! If you haven’t already, buy one of the Rimmel lipsticks right now. For the price you won’t get a better deal! I guarantee, you will not regret.

NOT : The textures are a bit confusing. 

The scent :( is too overpowering. It smells exactly like the Inglot lip refills. Thankfully the scent doesn't stay long. 

StreetWear Ultra Moist Lipstick in Pink Persuasion

This has to be my best buy this year! There i said it... I’m not even gonna stall. 

These are perfect. It has an amazing range of shades to choose from. Pinks to orange to nudes to some berry and then some mauvy tones.

The finish is Semi Matte, but it applies on smooth. Does not dry my lips. 

*Big thumbs up for that*

However it sure does transfer (My coffee mugs shall vouch for that).

Pink Persuasion is a bright reddish pink colour with a tinge of coral in it.

 But it transfers a true pink on my lips. There's no coral tinge to it. Only in artificial lights, when applied heavily, does it show a little reddish/neonish.

 This particular shade looks very different under varied lights on my lips alone.

 It looks pretty coral on my friend's lips. So do try this shade yourself first before buying. Or if you're like me then be a rebel and take a chance with this, 'cause trust me this shade'll look pretty anyhow.

It can be built up to varied degrees. I dab on just a little with a gloss and it’s a perfect everyday dainty pink.

 2-3 swipes can make it a full blown bold pink.

The shade is a very fresh young colour that’ll brighten up a face any season.

This lippie stays on for 3-3.5 hours, which is fine by me. (Did i hear someone say "Low expectations "?)

Well the best of the lippies last for 3-3.5 hrs on me max! Even the matte ones start fading in the most unflattering way. You know how all the colour on the centre of your lips fade away leaving just an outline. Hate it! I prefer that the entire colour fades off evenly, even though quickly, rather than the outline horror. 
To top it, I have extremely dry lips which are always chapped! Hence matte lipsticks and I… let’s just say, we’re not the best of friends.

But this one.. this darling gives my lips the moisture required while giving the illusion of a matte lip. LOVE!

And Oh! These smell like Vanilla. Sighhh!

The packaging is real cute. No doubt about that. However it is also very flimsy. The twist is pathetic and the fact that the bullet does not twist inside the tube completely is irksome.  But I can totally ignore that for the quality I’m getting especially for the price.

HOT/NOT:

A definite must have. There’s a colour for everyone. It’ll be a shame if you miss out on this range.
